As an avid traveler, Jim Hough was looking for a great opportunity to use his business experience while pursuing the travel bug. Recently he decided to join the Sunspot Resorts Network as a Partner in the Whidbey and Camano Islands region in the Puget Sound of Washington State.

Sunspots operates Inns, Resorts and Vacation Rentals in several states including Washington and Hawaii. With hundreds of properties in its inventory, the company has authorized Hough to add vacation rental homes on Whidbey and Camano Islands as well.

"Jim has been an entrepreneur a long time, so he knows how to offer his services to the community, " said William May, President of Sunspots. "The islands are a close and frequent get away for People in Western Washington, especially from Seattle."

"I have watched Sunspots for sometime and was considering opening my own operation," said Hough, "But it would take me years to develop the back office, marketing and internet savvy they have mastered. This way I can provide services to my owner clients immediately."

Whidbey Island is a narrow but long island stretching 62 miles North South, giving it hundreds of miles of pristine coastline and magnificent views. It is just a short ferry ride from Seattle and has a population of 58,000. The island boasts hundreds of second homes, many of which are offered as vacation rentals. See www.WhidbeyIslandSunspots.com.

Camano Island is much like Whidbey, narrow and long, but about half its size and lies between Whidbey and the mainland, and is accessible by road through Stanwood Washington. See CamanoIslandSunspots.com.

"Jim's territory also includes the town of La Conner on the main land, a busy recreational area, and Anacortes also known as Fidago Island, " Said Penny Taylor Vice President and reservations director. "We have gotten rental requests for those areas for years and I am glad we finally will be able to accommodate guests there."

Jim also is a long time soccer coach in the U-8, U-10, U-12 and U-14 division; and owns and operates the North American Soccer Academy a not-for-profit organization that provides Soccer training for under privileged youth.

Sunspots offers several management operations for lodging operators from a TurnKey full service program to a HandOff Referrals. The company also provides housekeeping, maintenance and House Watch programs for second home owners who don't want to rent but need a friend in the area to take care of homes when they are not in residence.
